I freaking love this place. One time, it was an absolute blizzard in Somerville. Like city emergency, no one was even plowing and they were open. It was amazing, and they were still super nice. I've gotten the meatloaf dinner on a cold winter night, and it really is so homey and delicious. Also fries. Also chicken parm. Also salads.

I live real close by so have grabbed takeout from City Slicker about a handful of times, each of which were very pleasant. The staff is super friendly and the food meets expectations. They cater to the takeout crowd, having a pretty big variety of options on the menu, most of which is fast food. I personally recommend the fries and tots, I haven't had the entrees but my friends enjoyed whatever they ordered, from sandwiches to steak tips.

It's terrible and expensive. I ordered a cheesecake and they send me simple brownie and sandwich it supposed something especially but it's just a simple bread with cheese

I went here today on the recommendation of a family member and plus I was in the area anyway. I went in at lunchtime and after waiting for about 4 minutes to be addressed, I asked if they had slices of pizza. The girl behind the counter had a deer in the headlights look, paused for a minute and turned to one of her co-workers to ask if they had a slice pie ready yet. He responded NO. She said it would take 20 minutes if I wanted them to make one, so I said I would walk around the neighborhood since I grew up there, reminisce and come back in 20 minutes for a slice or two. I came back from my walk at around the 25-minute mark. There was one person sitting and eating in the restaurant both times I went in. Again I had to wait about four minutes before being acknowledged. They did not seem to be unorganized. Same girl asks can I help you and I just looked at her saying that I was just here, they were going to make a pizza for slices and she told me to come back in 20 minutes. She said oh yeah hold on. She asked one of her co-workers if the slices were ready. He said they were so I got one slice based on how it looked. I also asked for a drink. I said a grape Gatorade, the purple one. A guy comes over and looks at me like I have three heads. He turns to the cooler and points to the yellow Gatorade. I said no, come on man I just told you grape the purple one. It's the only purple colored item in the whole case. The pizza seemed to be overcooked. I only got one slice in case it was not good. I'm glad I got just the one slice. The pizza was overcooked and pretty much burnt on the bottom. I don't care how many people say this is a good place, I did not find it to be good at all and will most likely not be returning. Say it may have been an off-day all you want, but you should be at your best everyday, no excuses. Geniuses, the people in this place certainly are not and that's what I hear from folks, but figured that I would try it for myself anyway..

HORRIBLE!! Came for pickup and had me waiting 20+ minutes after I waited at home to go pick up. "25 minutes" WHAT A JOKE! oh.. did I mention they gave me the WRONG pizzas. Pathetic. Tastes like cardboard. You might as well go get a happy meal. 100% NEVER ordering from this place again. Don't even understand how this place has more than 3 stars. Waste of time. Waste of money. Waste of space.
